From Puno, on the shores of the Titicaca Lake, we drove northwest towards the last main part of our trip before returning home: the region of Cusco. On our way to the city itself, we visited many different archeological sites and natural wonders, such as the 7 colour mountain or Winikunka.

Once in the city of Cusco, we spent a couple of days visiting its vibrant streets and squares full of wonders. This was the centre of the universe for the Inkas, and is indeed the meaning of its name.

We then continued through the Sacred Valley, where we visited many other different archeological sites before arriving to the almighty and popular Machupicchu.

Overall it was an incredible experience travelling through history and these marvellous landscapes. It was a great way to say farewell to South America. Now we will come back home! Home again!
